INTRODUCTION
Introducing Rivals League, an intense league played by Nigerian scholars and professional eSports teams, in a multiplayer game mode. In this league, students from schools can actively participate by forming or joining a team, the League comprises of two sub leagues;
- Qualifiers
- League
Only qualifiers or the team that wins the Qualifiers will be allowed to participate in the League.

League
Features of the Rivals League
- QUALIFIERS
The Qualifiers is a league that requires participants in each schools to form a team of five players each and compete against each other within the schools,for the purpose of recognizing and acquiring the best amongst them. The winning team of the League will represent the school as the school main team. The Qualifiers will also include other external teams competing against themselves for acquire the top best teams.
The matches are expected to be played in a league format and points from each teams will be collated to determine the best team.
Only qualifiers or the team that wins the League will be allowed to participate in the Inter League.
In Qualifiers, every school has 3 chances to challenge other schools in a month, then results of the matches will be totaled to rank the schools. Teams will be split to tiers.
Requirements for teams who are willing to participate in the Qualifiers:
- All teams are required to have a minimum of five (5) players
- Teams are allowed to have just one (1) substitute players if necessary.
- All teams must have a team leader that represents the team and reports directly to the school representative.
- Substitutes will be assigned only after all teams have been locked.
- More substitutes can be registered only after all teams have been locked.
External eSports teams are expected to have a well-defined team.
- THE PRO ESPORTS LEAGUE
Professional e-sports teams from the sub-saharanafrican region will be allowed to participate and have a share of the general prizepool of ₦1,000,000 (one million naira).
The league will be divided into 3 stages:
- The Qualifiers.
- Semi-finals.
- Finals.
To ensure a balance during this event, teams would be grouped according to their strength based on rankings results from different organizations such as: Kon10dr and AER.
There will be 3 league tiers, LEAGUE A, B and C.
Each league is expected to have 10 – 15 registered teams and atleast 240 professional players.
The Qualifiers will begin on the month of April, while the Semi-finals will begin after the conclusion of the Qualifiers.
The prizepool will be shared between League A – C.
League A will be allocated ₦550,000, League B ₦250,000 and League C ₦100,000.
The remaining ₦100,000 will be shared between the top performing players of the season.
Requirements for Pro Esports League is as follows:
- All teams are required to have a minimum of five (5) players.
- Teams are allowed to have just one (1) substitute players if necessary.

- THE SCHOLARS LEAGUE
The League is a finalist league that requires winners of the Intra League known as “School Main Team” from each schools, to participate and compete each other and top winners from the external eSports teams who participated in the Intra League, the finals will be hosted in an event center.
The matches are expected to be played in a knockout format, the final two teams will compete in an event center and will be broadcasted. The pool prize is #1,000,000.

- The best and winner of the Intra League in each school will be known as the school main team for the school.
- The top winners from the external eSports teams will compete amongst the school main teams.
- The school main team will represent the school in the Inter League.
- The school main team can have a maximum of five (5) substitute players.
- The school main team can reorganize their main and sub lineup team before registering for the Inter League.
- The match structure will be a mixture of the school main teams and external eSports teams.
• Rivals League for the Schools will start October.
• The Inter League between school teams starts after school exam ends.
• Intra League: After inter league ends, lasts for 2 months.
• The Qualifiers will begin on the month of April, while the Semi-finals will begin after the conclusion of the Qualifiers.
Qualifiers Match structure:
- Format: Normal League played on weekends, 3 matches per week for 8 weeks.
- Each match is a combination of up to 3 games giving 1 game point each, first to 2 game points win.
- Win = 3 match points
- Forfeiture: 2 match points
- Lose: 0 match points
- Use bracket elimination or League system for Intra Qualifiers
League Match Structure:
- Number of teams: X teams
- Format: Each playing 5 matches in a week for 4 weeks.
- Knock out system for Inter League first with rules to know which rules is best and bend the rules, then later first leg or 2nd leg with best rules.
P.S: Match structure for schoolteams.
Teams go against each, then get qualifier teams each day until total teams have played and qualifier are determined; (cut them using bracket format). e.g if there are 4 teams in a school, 2v2 to get the 2 qualifiers, then 1v1 to get the qualifiers, and get the team that represents the school.

Round Limit: 3 rounds
TEAM REGISTRATION & SETUP
Steps to team formation:
- Each player register via the registration link that will be provided
- 5 - 6 players will group together and register, they can select one more player on the platform if they’re not up to 6.
- They will provide their team name, and select one of the team members as the leader.
- They might provide a logo, else a default logo will be created from the name.

STEPS FOR ALL RIVALS LEAGUE PARTICIPANTS
- Schools are responsible for managing the school community we created via WhatsApp and Discord.
- Create or register team members into teams.
- Appoint team leaders via team members' votes.
- Organize a list that contains teams and their respective team members.
